Home Value Index: Phew.If there was a map to expalin the disparities this is one to do it. Hartford was the last county to have a 3.00-6.00 value, and that was in 1920. Since then it's done a complete 180, to the only county that is at .21-.60 value. In comparison West Hartford has been the most stable, although decreasing over time. It's very interesting to see that at the last point recorded, in 2000, Avon was the only one with a 1.49-3.00 rating, the highest for the area, when 90 years ago 10 different counties had at least that rating if not more. The housing crisis has been intense, you can see it when you drive around but this map creates a clear picture of what is really happening.
